Ingredients for making pizza base
o
Olive oil (or vegetable oil) - 2 tbsp
o Maida (All purpose Flour) - 2 cups.
o Instant yeast or (active dry yeast) - 1 tbsp
o Salt – To taste
o Sugar - 1 tbsp
*** Better to use olive oil and Instant yeast for tawa
pizza base preparation. Dry yeast should be put in lukewarm water
before using. Instant yeast can be applied directly. Better to use instant
yeast.
For pizza topping
o Capsicum - 1
o Mozzarella cheese (or cream cheese) - ½ cup
o Baby corn - 2
o Pizza sauce - ½ cup
o Mix herbs - ½ tbsp.
**** Use cold cheese to stop cheese from over cooking and possibly
flaming.
Take maida in any utensil, add dry
instant yeast, sugar and olive oil, salt. Mix all ingredients well with help of
warm water knead the flour. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes
soft. Grease a bowl and place dough in it and let it be for 2 hours. Now Dough
is ready for making pizza.
Prepare topping for the pizza: Chop
capsicum and baby corn into small pieces and cook for two minutes. Take half
amount of pizza and make a round ball. Make a thick chapatti with small or
medium size 10-12 inch. Preheat a pan or tawa. Grease it with little oil,
If you are not using non stick pan, and place pizza inside it. Wrap it and cook
for two minutes or until the lower side gets little brown. Flip it upside and
lessen the flame to minimum, decorate pizza with topping now. Firstly layer
pizza sauce and then place capsicum and baby corn on the pizza. Sprinkle
mozzarella cheese as well.
Cover pizza and cook for 5-6
minutes on low flame until the cheese gets dissolved and the lower side gets
little brown. Yummy pizza is made. Add some herbs(basil) on top of the
pizza. Serve hot pizza and enjoy eating it.
